Buffer Pool Sizes
Depending on the
logical page
size of an
ASE Server,
the possible sizes of buffer pools can vary.
Normally, memory pages are always 2K, equal to 2048
bytes,
independent of the server wide preconfigured size of
data pages.
This is not strictly true for buffer pages. Sizes of buffer pools are therefore
multiples of the logical page size, because data is kept here that has been read from
disk in chunks of multiples of the logical page size.
